How do I set up a wireless internet connection on laptop?

I feel like such a noob for asking this being that I fix computers and all but I have never setup a wireless internet connection. Step by step how do I manually setup a wireless internet connection on windows vista home? Turn on wireless switch.


Got to control panel, click network connections, click view all available wireless networks, click yours, enter password if a secured network, click connect.


You can also right click computer icon in task tray, click view all available wireless networks, click yours, enter password, click connect.
