You need to have a broadband internet connection and a modem (cable or dsl, etc).





Then just buy a router. It will come with directions and probably a cd that will walk you thru the installation, as well as a cable for between the router and modem. It will tell you how to wire everything up (and it's easy). There's really not much to do unless you have dsl. Then you just have to check whether the ip address of the router is in conflict with the ip address of the modem.
