It all depends on what connections you have on all your components. I'm guessing your tv is a little older if it only has 3 inputs. So your best route (depending on what connections you have on your receiver, or audio device) would be to connect your cable to the coax jack in the back of your tv. If possible connect the audio-out (of your tv) into your receiver. then take the satelite, wii, and dvd player and connect their audio and video into your receiver. Then connect the video-out (of your receiver) to the video-in on the tv.
When using, depending on what you want to do, you will select the input that you connected it to on either your tv or receiver.
