How do you connect a Playstation 3 into a LCD Monitor ?

I know this is possible because I've been doing that for 3 years on my Xbox 360. My sound is connected into my PC so I can use a turtle-beach headset.

Recently, the PS3 price went down to 299$, which I can afford now. But I want to be able to play on my monitor. I want my connection to be a VGA ( Not a DVI ).

Thanks for any helpful answers. How do you connect a Playstation 3 into a LCD Monitor ?
The PS3 has NO native VGA support.

You CANNOT connect the PS3 to a VGA-only monitor without either a signal converter box or an active adapter of some sort.

There is a cable out there that has an active converter chip built into its connector that can translate the PS3's analog YPbPr component signal to VGA, but the image quality is quite poor. I would recommend against it.

The PS3 works best with monitors that have an HDMI input. How do you connect a Playstation 3 into a LCD Monitor ?
Mine is connected by a wire that has two usb type plugs on the end one in the back of my 42 inch Philip lcd and the other in my ps3
