How can i improve my network wireless connection/ internet to my desktop pc?

I have a pci port wireless adapter ';D-Link Wireless G DWA-510 Desktop Adapter';. The internet will be alright... it sometimes takes time to load even though the internet is quite fast. The signal strength is at 68% / 4 out of 5 bars on the meter. My problem is when I go to play a game or stream a video online the internet tends to cut out then back in straight away constanly like ever 10 seconds, resulting in huge lag or having to reload the video page... this is frustrating. If someone could help ide be sooooo happy! How can i improve my network wireless connection/ internet to my desktop pc?
The reason your signal is just 68% is probably that the antenna is buried down on the floor behind your desk. This is radio. Walls, floors, appliances all cut the signal. 68% is like listening to a radio station 100 miles away that is mostly static.

Look into buying a high gain antenna that can replace the antenna. These have long cords so you can move the antenna around to get a good signal

Now the main source of your problem may not be the wifi but your internet provider. Do you have slow DSL? That could be it. DSL is available at 1-7 mbps. Cable is available from 1-20 mbps. Obviously faster is better for a demanding game.
